No! I Decline Your Offer To Become An SS Informer

This morning I received from our illustrious gov.uk the EU Settlement Scheme: Landlord's toolkit 

For the avoidance of any doubt on my position on this, I provide an annotated first page.

I will break laws where I see those laws as entirely immoral.

This rogue government is telling us, to act as informants for purpose of prosecuting and deporting illegal immigrants. Some of these people being EU citizens that have lived their entire adult lives in the UK. They have made their homes, formed relationships, raised children, and contributed to the UK in innumerable ways. Many will just have failed to jump through the legislative and bureaucratic hoops suddenly created for them by a rogue coup government. I will not be part of that.

This government has even implemented a cut-off time for the successful application and granting of SS during a time of national pandemic that will have made the dissemination of information and application that much more difficult. They actively refuse to extend that deadline despite so many calls to do so.

This law is punishing EU citizens for not registering for Settled Status before July 1st, 2021. The only logical conclusion being that the criminal offense is that of coming to the UK After the end of the Brexit transition period (end of 2020) without a granted right to do so. EU citizens that were resident in the UK prior to end of 2020, therefore, have committed no crime.

In UK law, you are innocent until proven guilty.  The burden of proof that someone is an illegal citizen should rest with the government and not EU citizens that have spent their lives in the UK. And it should certainly not rest with the devolving of policing activities into the hands of civilians.
